I've been told that the markings on the scope notch are held in great confidence so as to prevent fakes. I can understand the concern, but I think it's in vain.
Sarge, I have more detailed photos of the scope notch, but I've been asked to not post the photos. I tried to PM the link, but it seems that you don't accept PMs.
I have not been told by anyone that it's not original.
I recently acquired the SVT40 at 1941 Tula SVT 40 Sniper . I think it's an original sniper, but not sure. Also, given the repaired cracks at the wrist, is this rifle ok to shoot? Any and all comments...
