Looks like it is an Anschutz sling swivel that fits into the base that fits into a fore end rail.Have one here that appears the same with Anschutz markings on it.
D70340, 1941, FTR 52, 7/52 Barrel and A^F on receiver.

Just dug one of my No5's out of the safe 10/46 X9950 . Close to the one in the photo. It has metal fore end caps as well.

Since all Lee Enfields were built in factories ,rearsenaled sounds odd , no one says refactoried which is more correct . What is wrong with FTR or rebuilt, it's easier to say and spell.
