Thanks flying10uk
Is it authentic? Repro? Didn’t come with front sight, does the factory one work with this sight? Will the taller Grünal front sight work? How do you set it up? What model sight is it?

Did tried it... far easier
I guess I don't understand how the ball bearing comes in the play. Does it swedge the primer pocket down to a smaller diameter? I guess I'll just give it a try and see what it does
I hadn't ever measured, my guess was way off seems.
Can you go into detail on step 3 a little. I'm trying to figure out how you went about shrinking the primer pocket.

Sold for $1576.99
It sold for $1200
We tested fired it and oh man... Wish we could keep it. Eats anything we feed it
Went ahead and listed it on GunBroker
How desirable?
Got it in a local auction seeking info and value....

The bore is shootable. Not spectacular but still decent. I mean, it's no K31 but it's not a mosin either
I do have a period correct stamped guard from another auction I attended a while back but I don't want to further a fake.
The 03-A3 stamp is not offset and the scope mount is indeed incorrect....
Sn is 3820xxx and is stamped 03A3... So probably a fake?

Also the canvas bag is marked...
Pretty nice piece. Got it at local collection auction. Barrel is stamped 43 and has correct looking stock set but.... It has a J Unertl 4x scope. All I've seen is they had Weaver's. Will post pics...
Maybe a Peterson device?
I ask because as a machine shop, we have the equipment to heat treat and measure Rockwell. We're more interested in the possibility to rescue for testing, not resale
