Strong lass that can fire from the hip like that without a sling! Someone also needs to show her the carry handle locked to the side feature as well.

    Star Wars MKI Bren!

Apologies if if this has been posted already, but just saw this promo poster for the Mandalorian, which features most of a MkI Bren. I'm pleased that the new Disney owners of the Star Wars franchise...

I've had good success with leather dyes to match wood sets lately. Having said that, the dyes will cost you more than the wood uppers, so unless you intend to restore a few sporters...

Randy A, I restore old sporters for fun, and it is seldom going to make me much money if I resell. However, the process is extremely enjoyable and worthwhile for other reasons IMO.

I'd like to know where you folks are finding full wood un-sporterized No 1 MkIIIs for less than $275 + $350. In Canada, at least I'd be paying $900-1200 for these. Perhaps not "economical" to restore...

Yeah, it's rough and ready for sure, certainly compared to my LB. All part of the charm.

I wondered about the placement of the cheek piece, the thumb groove seems to be pointless, but I have...

If it has new wood, which it certainly looks like, and it has been bedded correctly, you won't need recoil blocks. For what it's worth, none of my Lee Enfields have them fitted. What I'm learning is...

Yeah, re-stocked, re-blued and probably built from parts, but it looks lovely, and if it shoots well that's great. I have a mix of collector rifles and nice looking shooters, and I'm learning there...

Thanks Peter, I think I've got it sorted now. A longer bolt was inserted, which doesn't look exactly the same, but once blued, you barely notice the difference. Being Canada, it's Robertson, not slot...

That's great thanks. Yes, it seems oversized compared to my other rifles. I had to go to the hardware store to find a 2" bolt.

The forearm is probably of Indian manufacture as it has the Ishy screw and is a reddish colour. It also required a lot of trimming to get the nose cap and band on. Perhaps this is the problem?

No 4 Mk2 cross bolt size?

    Hi all,
Anyone know the proper length of the No 4 Mk2 cross bolt. I'm trying to find one that fits my rifle, and they seem to be 1&5/8inches, which is considerably too short to fit the forearm on my...

I've learned that this is known as a duffel cut. So returning US troops could fit their souvenir into their duffel bag. Interesting. The different wood and dates would rule that out though, so I...

Thanks. Yes I considered bluing the sunshade. It's just a bit of copper pipe joint that I had to reduce the diameter of. Apparently 1 Inch interior on plumbing supplies is 1 and 1/8th inch!
