Cool, thanks for the info, are there any records that would show where that regiment was and when?
Here are a couple of photos of it.
I came across what I think is a German dog tag today at a yard sale. One side is marked
Waffen SS A
the other side is marked
SS-Flak.E.Rgt
6806
Is this a dog tag or something else? Any way...
No apology needed, I enjoy learning as much as possible.
Thanks for all of the help from everyone on this barrel. Not that it matters but when I picked up this barrel from a local guy I got quite a few other parts with it and I know mostly what they are, I...
That seem to be the consensus, but holding it in hand it is just so sharp and no smoothing of the machine marks. I was able to find this one with some google searching, It looks almost identical and...
All of that area is parked.
The barrel being marked Saginaw S.G. Div General Motors, would that be correct to have the flaming bomb?
Here is a picture of the P and the piston nut, the P is about 6.5 inches down from the muzzle, the nut appears to have a WI on it.9719097189
The barrel did not come from Norway, I picked it up locally with a few other really nice carbine parts, I was just stumped on the barrel.
To me with barrel in hand does not look to have been blasted and parked, the machining marks are too prominent and I would think with sand blasting they would not be.
That is a ordnance bomb, I did not even see it. Were these stamped on all barrels? Also, the bore on this barrel is absolute perfect.

So I guess $2500 would be about the norm for a 95 to 97 percent 1942 navy. I will try to post pictures of mine anyway when I get back in town.
Thank you Mr. Holbrook and thank you for your service , those are some nice looking pistols. Mine is #793882 I thought $2000 was what a nice 1942 would sell for not a navy, or did you just do your...
I will try to take a picture and post, the pistol is all correct.
