I'm putting together a 1903 for a shooter with a Criterion barrel and would like to know who would be recommended for an S type stock duplication.

The receiver is a 1901 and not heat treated. I have one and on the one from the auction, the burrs on the sharp edges from manufacturing are still there Dead soft of whatever steel Krag receivers...

I have an M1917 stock that has been painted black at some point in the past. It's on pretty thick.
My question is....what product should I use that will do the best job of stripping the paint off ?
