Hi all, I have this German ZF4 scope that I found while cleaning out some old boxes of stuff at my house. If I remember correctly I picked it up at a swap meet years ago for pretty cheap. I am not sure if it is a real one or a reproduction. It looks like it could be real but before I sell it I wanted to ask the experts so I dont misrepresent it.
Any ideas?
Also, what should I ask for a scope like this?
Thanks!

Nobody? I hope the braintrust that is Milsurps.com isnt starting to slip.
I probably posted this in the wrong place? If so I would appreciate it if the Mod gods could smile upon me and move it to the proper place.

Repos are a recent thing. Good chance this is the real deal. No ideas on value. You might take it to the next Vallejo Gunshow. Several German collectors there.

It is good, don't know what it may be worth. The original mounts are the expensive item not the scope.
When you decide on a value I might be interested.

Thanks guys. Im glad its real and I sure wish I had the original mounts to go with it.
Sarge, I will do some poking around on the net to see if I can find some that have sold to give us an idea. I will be in touch.

It certainly looks real to me. If you can get a hold of the Collector Grade book Hitler's Garand It will show you in detail what real ones look like.
What is the problem? It also has the range drum water cap.
