    10 round mag

I'm looking on eBay for some magazines and I'm seeing ones that look like 30 round and they say 10 round in the description. Also no 15 round mags. Are there 10 round mags or are they just saying this for some eBay rules?

    Thanks jb

Ebay rules state no mags over 10rd.
Note pictures closely....... look for GI markings, Here's a old link with markings. Probably not 100%, but will give you an idea:
    M1 / M2 Carbine Magazine FAQ

There were never any USGI mags made for 5 or 10rd, just 15 and 30.

    Re: 10 round mag

They are legit. Ive bought many USGI mags from ebay sellers. As long as they are not listed as holding more ebay leaves it alone. People put 10 rnds in the descrption to keep ebay from closing the listing .During the past couple weeks people were listing 30,40 even 100 round drums and ebay was closing them left and right. I would say if they are marked USGI they are original unless the listing states California leagal, then they are 10. Of course your still taking a chance, could be pinned. You could always ask the seller if its original USGI

***Let me clarify my post, I'm saying they are USGI mags, not that people are violating ebay policy ***

If you had bought your carbine and mags before Jan 1 2000 you are grand fathered in and can have them in California. Same with high cap pistol mags owned before that date. After Jan 1 2000 California has been restricted to allowing only 10 round magazines.

I have never been asked at the range. Most guys are just fasinated by seeing a carbine. You get a lot of questions.

The GI mags I see listed do not looked pinned. I am thinking the sellers only say that to keep their listing from being removed. But they are not allowed to sell from or ship to California.

I also live in California, and have never been asked about my high-caps at the range. In fact even out doing the high country patrol with the Carbine with a 30 in it and high caps in my S&W 9mm, I see CHP and EDSO deputies all the time, they never ask, either.

I know I bought a demilled Carbine on eBay a couple weeks ago and they yanked it off right as I was paying for it. I guess they weren't happy with the proof that it was demilled.
