the best way is to slug the bore. The Mosins have different calibers from .308 up to .312. We used a .312 H&N bullet with grease and measured the bore. Normaly it is .311 but we had also the .308. If you shoot only 100 yards the H&N will be a good bullet or use a normal bullet with VV N110 powder. My comrade use this in his long Mosin with excelent results. From where in Northern Italyicon do you come from? Südtirol?
