Congrats to you!
You have an excellent rifle and you can do some more than shooting the holes in the Swiss cheese! Remove the buttplate, sometimes there is a tag with the name and the regiment of the former user in it. If you can get it, buy the GP11 ammo it is really accurate with the original ammo.
Have fun

Thanks for the help
I am jealous, you live in the most beautiful place in the world.
Have been there many times, thought of retiring there but............
Where do I get G11 ammo, never heard of that.

GP11 is the surplus Swiss ammo. Unlike most surplus ammo from other countries, the swiss GP11 is non corrosive and really accurate. My K31 loves it. I got my ammo from Classic Arms Inc. they just got some in for $34.99 per 60 rounds. Also check J&G Sales

Hi thumper,
thank you for your kind words to my country. There will be a nice place for you for sure. Too bad that i can´t send you the ammo. A dealer over here offers it for $334 per 1000!!!

Thanks for all the help with the ammo. I just found GP11 at Sportsmans Guide for 57.93 per 120 rounds. 174 grain spitzer, berdan primed, non-corrosive Swiss military production. It's on it's way to my house right now.

I purchased a Swiss K31 last year for $325.00. It was mint for the most part. I did refinish the walnut stock for the new, new look. Shoots great, looks great. Worth every dime. Sherman

If you are going to reload, Prvi Partisan makes some pretty good ammo, my K-31 shoots really well with it!!
