    Now, that was funny...
I’ve seen a few similar scenes these weeks. I just have to giggle each time

We can all thank Ovidio for kicking off a potential record breaking thread, let's face it guys, we can keep it rolling for months yet!

Let's keep religion out of it, as we will be infringing forum rules guys....

You’re right. Let’s keep religion out.
I slipped on it this time.

So, the Berettona in .40 you say? I have no .40 guns yet. Could be an occasion...

Yeh, save the "religion" till you're lying on that gurney waiting for your last sedative.

It was not meant that way. I just want keep it private from now on and not discuss it here.
Unfortunately, like politics, it always ends up being divisive.
Concerning sedation...I'll allow myself a typical Italianicon apotropaic gesture, as long as I'm by myself...

NO POLITICS or RELIGION guys................it is a great thread, not only to support Ovidio and his country at the moment, but I would like to think it presents some great facts on the virus that we should all heed, and also on guns which is why we are here in the first place.

Lets not have people drop off because of any type of offence, lets enjoy each others company by means of the BEST site out there, but also in our hour of not having anything else to do, unless of course you are blessed that you can open the back door and rapid fire at any target you wish

I can slowly fire with my Diana air gun... Still better than nothing, but I miss my 30-06 right now.
I have a dummy round on my working table and keep looking at it...with watery eyes

Coming back to the core of this thread: we will be locked-up for two more weeks.
My feeling is, that even in case of very good data on the reduction of infected people, the authorities want to prevent any gatherings during the Easter celebrations, so we'll have to get past April 13th to start, slowly, gradually seeing the "light of the sun" again.

Gil, thanks for the support, but I guess it is well past supporting Italyicon right now.
Looking at the JHU site you have highlighted, the last week has been impressive: the USAicon went from a few small red dots to a sea of red, with skyrocketing numbers. Other countries are not much different. Think of Spain...
We need to support each other here, no-one is really much better at, I fear.
But I still enormously appreciate all of you guys participating and giving testimony of how all of this is affecting the whole world. And, mostly, how people react everywhere.
That is the real value added to our discussion.

We are waiting for the call some states I have heard are in or about to go into total lock down, we in West Au are on the brink of total lock down as people are not playing the game and the Govt is getting frustrated at the non-compliance I really don't know what its going to take people are still getting into groups like on the news they said about 40 surfers were in the ocean at a beach down here in the South West with the same amount of spectators.
Well I guess the White Pointers do not have to worry about the virus so it may be a good thing for them with food served up on a fiberglass platter go whitey chomp'em up good and proper to show Darwins theory is correct.

I'm gunna make myself popular with my son saying his girlfriend if we go to total lock down will not be allowed in our house and I will suggest the same apply to him and her parents house the govt has said that direct family only in lock down and my son due to his health issues is in a high risk catagory of being bumped off by the virus if infected, but he is working outdoors and taking all the precautions like we all are but there is always the chance.
Worrying times they turned a plane from Sydney to Adelaide around due to 6 baggage handlers from Sydney going down with the virus, another snippet it appears that China perhaps relaxed the restrictions too soon and have suffered another spike in infections the lock down has to be complete until the virus has no host to infect and just die out.
My mate whose wife is a chemist said the new limit the virus can survive on a plastic surface has been put at 72 hours this is worrying as allot of people are ordering take aways as a way of helping restaurants but here one would rely on their food handling practices hopefully they are on to it but still I stress its worrying for all.

The US is coping a pasting this virus has just exploded over them type in Worldometer its what I am using to keep up on the virus'es antics infecting, deaths and recovery's it makes for sobering reading like I said every 4 days it doubles once it hits a million infections whats the limit then, and I still find it very suss that China just suddenly has a vaccine despite it being 4 months on their doorstep.
A rumour circulating apparently a woman scientest in China some how she was interviewed or used social media to condem whats happened basically blaming China and well 'er she's not been heard of again yes its hear say but like Russiaicon nothing would suprise me with China it has a plan and we are not part of it its my view as thats what I think is happening despite some saying why would they do it with the fall out on the other side of this facing them.

My father in law has one Gil, great rifle ... If we are talking a blend of looks and capability, you can't beat the stunning looks of beautiful BSA Airsporter S, specifically the late production Walnut stocked examples, much better quality and two stage trigger.

They do need tuning to get the best out of them, but they are a classic Britishicon air rifle.

I'm fortunate(I think?) to be in central Oklahoma. The county I'm in is surrounded by three counties with covid 19 cases but none recognized in my area.

The kids being out of school way early is interesting...few of the younger generations are practicing much social distancing at all!! Older folks do seem to be taking it seriously.

I'm self employed(diesel mechanic, John Deere ag mostly) as is my wife(T-shirt screen printer/graphic design). Her business has taken a hit from canceled orders caused by canceled events. I took my first hit yesterday because a farmer/rancher is unable to pay his bill.

The economy here was about crashed because of a severe tapering off of the oil industry(low oil prices)....many lay-offs from down-sizing and closures(typical oil and gas industry practice)...My daughter got layed-off as her oil field support company phased out operations in Oklahoma. The corona virus ain't helping at all!

Somehow or other I've ended up with a neighbor's 14 year old daughter as an employee(part time $10 bucks an hour)...she works and gets dirty...does what shes told to do. Her parents way of keeping their daughter 'socially distanced' I guess?(mom begged me to provide a job for her!)....and likely give her something to do during her long-term break from school. My son works at a Chrysler/Kubota dealership and buisness is slow too...mostly because of the slow oil-field). My fourteen year old employee and I have more than we can get done in a day and will be busy for sometime it appears...I'm turning down work we cannot get to!

As far as stuff at the store...TP is short supply...no Lysol or antiseptic cleaners...plenty of food however some items are short supply. I went to Wal Mart last Friday just in time for a zombie herd of weird looking folks to emerge from the store...I set in the truck until the herd thinned and went inside...abandoned carts and surgical gloves laying in the parking lot(who cleans that up?)...cashiers wearing masks and gloves. It looks to me as if many folks are only buying really cheap food-stuffs and leaving pricier food on the shelves. They were actually working at stocking a small quantity of toilet paper as I left! I have been approached a couple times by low-life trying to sell me toilet paper at inflated prices...but no..I just tell them to save it for their own wiping and leave them standing there looking stupid...

That is more or less the situation in small town Oklahoma. It's tight but functional for the time being...
