    1917 trench knife

    I just read that the 1917 trench knife was slightly modifled in 1918 does anyone know what the modifications were? is there anyway to tell if a knfe was a1917 or 18

    It kept the triangular shaped blade. But the scabbard changed some. Instead of a wire belt hanger, I have seen leather slotted for a belt. Also some had a leather washer handle instead of walnut. Pretty sure it is in Cole's book.
