"The Grinch Tree"
Sorta of a tradition here now we utilize our fire place as our xmas tree as about 3 years ago we left it a bit late to procure a tree so had a brain tremble to decorate the flue.
As it only gets used for about 3-4 months of the year this sort of uses it in another fashion really easy to hang the tassels and lights around the fire place backing and tiling were done by my father in law & myself about 19 years ago.

Not many grievances are noted, we do not buy allot for xmas now the grandies are too old, our sons got 1 foot out the door with my boot right behind him (Not really) my wife and I have what we need so our xmas'es are very quiet indeed including presents.
We do a secret Santa within the family as a lark one usually ends up with something totally useless but its fun besides after xmas & new years I gotta get up to speed averaging 30,000 steps/day as thats what my contract employer requires for ground coverage when we are in the field conducting safety checks and such on various sites we go to as safety advisor's (Most hated persons by the workers in industry/construction)
