    New Boy Questions

I'm a new member so please forgive me if this is the wrong forum for my post.
I recently purchased a deactivated No.4 Mk1/2. It's in not bad condition but will look better after the wire wool and linseed oilicon treatment. I'm on the learning curve as far as Lee Enfields go.
The Mk3 rear sight needs replacing and I'm unsure whether the axis pin is threaded or if it is simply knocked out with a punch or similar tool. It certainly doesn't seem to want to move at the moment so I thought I'd ask before getting the hammer out.
The other point is the transverse screw at the rear of the foreend is missing - the countersunk holes are there, but no screw. Can anyone recommend how to replace this?
    Many thanks

i Gordon, the stock screw you will have to buy online somewhere - try e-bay, springfield sporters or Numrich. As for the rear sight, you remove the keeper pin from the sight axis pin and then drift the pin out. The slot in the head is only there to align the keeper pin hole - it's not threaded.
