Thank you Lance; for taking the time to share your knowledge!
My copy (number 50) arrived today. Just had a quick flick through, and it looks great. Looking forward to getting a few log's on the fire and settling down to read it during the winter weekends.

Delivery was quick ( but Frenchicon Customs stuck 22 Euro charge on it at the Post Office).

How many copies did you print in this first batch?
    Best regards, 30Three.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. DAMN customs, it was labeled as a GIFT. 100 in the first batch, currently sending out emails to those who have not sent funds in and releasing books to the waitlist people. The second batch will be printed in the near future.

My copy arrived. A quick scan tells me I will have to go page by page. Excellent info especially the latest stuff regarding Afghanistan. If I had to make a comment, I would say some pictures are too dark to show full details. Well done. p.

I agree with you, the photo's did not transfer as well as I wanted during printing. I did ask Santa for a new camera lens and with better lighting, I am hoping for better results in the .22 book.

Ohhh... i need to start saving up for that one then.
Almost finished reading the book and i have to say that so far it's already proven useful.
If i had one suggestion it would be to maybe consider of either having them printed with a hard cover or do a ''limited'' hard cover run, in the future.
Imho such a big book would greatly benefit from it and some people would probably be willing to pay extra for it.
    In any case, awesome job.

    Awesome book!
Only one problem, it needs a hard cover edition to preserve it for future generations.

I don't know the extent of your proposed .22 rf book, but let me know if you need pictures of off beat.22 Britishicon rifles. WOMR, Indian conversions, Indian Pattern 1914 .22 conversion, No trials, 3 No. 8s etc. , Ross. best, p.

Many thanks I will take you up on it! I am just starting to "play" with the .22 book. First draft of the intro is done, which traditionally will not survive! Plus, Santa is bringing a new lens for the camera so better pictures are coming!
