    Interesting.

Both wearing their splinter pattern Zeltbahn's as well, as camo smocks.

Staged photo I would guess given that the guy in the left background seems to be siting in Feldgrau uniform looking over at them.

Either way could mean the weapons previous owner no longer needs it!

It looks like a good photo for a firearms safety poster. Don't shoot your buddy in the chest with a .303 from 12 inches away! Salt Flat

I'm sure that that is a still taken from the wartime training film 'I am a sniper'. They were using Britishicon weapons doctored to look like the enemy. I could be wrong. I contacted the British Film Archive who took over all the old War Office training films from the old AKC and they don't have it. Anyone out there remember the AKC....., Roy?

Thought it didn't look quite right Peter...

Certainly a still as opposed to a photograph, looks that way anyway..

    I'll buy that idea....very plausible.

Just noticed there's a 4th guy in the photo....centre rear, and while very dark and hidden, the outline of the steel helmet he's wearing looks more US M1icon than Germanicon?
