    WW1 SMLE sniper scope

Gents, there is a WW1 SMLE scope for sale on the french Naturabuy site.
I know little about these; but this looks original and in good condition in the photos.
Expensive maybe! but I assume it's a rare find.
heres the link if anyone is interested.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Yep, it's the real deal although the rings are after the event replacements. In one of the photo's showing the underside of the scope you can see the two small screw holes where the screws locating the original one piece upper mount were positioned. The rifle shown in the last picture shows the typical set up for this type of scope.

It actually is a decent price for one. I have seen them sell for as high as $2500.00 CAD. On the other hand I was fortunate enough to pick one up this month at auction for $400.00 CAD.

    Here is mine.
