Here are my two CLLE's with the two clearing rods that I had a man make for me. I know that all MLE Mk I's had their clearing rods removed after May of 1899, long before some were later converted to CLLE's, but I just didn't like the empty rod channels and so I made some inquiries and found an excellent source for new made rods. These that are in my rifles were originaly made & shipped with a slightly different but authentic design of grooves on the head, but I chose to alter mine to look like what you see here which is a common pattern often seen on Magazine Lee Enfield Mk I's that are fortunate to still retain their rods. The gentleman also makes a perfect copy of a Mk II brass oiler as well. His name is Neil if anyone is interested in getting ahold of him for inquiries. No Ray, the pictures of the rifles with the ears are on my two Charger Loading Lee Enfields that were converted at Vickers in 1909.

Here is the front sight of my Mk I target rifle with its original rod with the brass screw in the end.



The threads on both of the reproduction rods that are now on my CLLE's are in the original "Enfield Thread", which is impossible to have replicated...except by Neil who owns some original Enfield armory taps and dyes of Enfield Thread. He also makes the Rod Stop Nut that is often missing from the stock of the rifles that have had their rods removed.

Thanks Badger. Here are some more pictures for your entertainment. I've got it advertised for sale on another site if you want to just look at it. I know it's a high price, but I was hesitant to sell it. I'd come down for a good trade or just after a good bickering back and forth on the price. I like to bicker.
