    Can anyone date this barrel?

    I just picked up a couple of abused garand barrels and the one ok has a rusted over date.... can anyone put a date to her? thanks

    Question I have never seen a barrel pitted that bad before, would that still be safe to shoot with that much metal eaten away?? Just curious is all.

    That barrel has been under ground or under water. I doubt the bore looks any better inside than it does outside.

    the bore is somehow good with a te 6 and the mz would have been 2.5 but was back bore 1/2" for blank adapter..... poor things been through hell somewhere
