    Opinions on Garand wood please

Looking for some opinions on 2 Garandicon stocks, I'm posting a few images with both stocks together, the 1/2 DAS stock will be in the top of all images and the 3/8 DAS in the bottom.

The 1/2 DAS stock I believe to be late HRA but am not positive, I have a 4.76xxxx HRA and have a choice of either one.

If any additional images would help just let me know.

Any input greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

"...Looking for some opinions..." About what? They've both been refinished and I suspect heavily sanded. Lotta rounded edges. Hard to tell who made based on that. If that's your question.

Are you asking which DAS was early or late? Are you going to base what dresses a rifle on that?
    Regards, Jim

Let me apologize for not being clear with my questioning, I'm looking to ID both stocks in question.

Top stock which I believe to be H&R is actually in much better shape than the lower one, wood sits proud and has some pretty nice tiger stripes throughout, problem is that for my 4.76xxxx serial range I believe I should have the 3/8 DAS as opposed to the 1/2 DAS.

If I was confident that the bottom wood was of H&R manufacture I would keep this wood for my 4.76xxxx H&R as it has the 3/8 DAS which I believe would be correct for that serial range.
