Threaded M38 use?
I have a very nice M96/39 with a treaded barrel. I've seen flash supressors, sleaves and blank devices all for sale on E-Bay and don't know which is "truly" correct for this gun. Are they all correct? SDH

Swedish blank cartridges used a wooden bullet. The muzzle was threaded for a shredding device, to destroy the bullet. Anything other than a properly marked blank device is a commercial aftermarket accessory. There are sleeves which cover the threads, if desired. The muzzles were threaded while the rifles were in service, so the modification is legitimate. Threaded rifle were not "DP". Some collectors prefer unthreaded muzzles, though.
