help with i.d. of knife please

Hello: I picked this knife up with some WW 2 items. It is unmarked without a sheath. It looks kind of like a M3 combat knife. Can anyone fill me in on what I have?
    Thanks, K.C.

Looks like an M3 fighting knife but the false edge isn't quite right. The top bevel has been removed too.

Thanks for the reply. I own two other M3 knives. They are both maker marked. This blade has a grey Parkerizing. Here is a better pic. of the front of the blade. It almost looks like a factory made profile. Any idea who made this one?
    Thanks again, kc

I don't but others will be along shortly. Yes the false edge looks original but very strange profile to me...

Don't know for sure. Very strange humpback Bowie point.

Here's a Kinfolks prototype blade that is very different, solid handle and false edge that runs back to the crosspiece... Kinfolks Incorporated - Knives of Quality and Distinction

Thanks for your post. I guess I have a mystery knife for my collection. Unfortunatly i have no info on where it came from. I picked it up at a conducted moving sale. The owners were not there.

Turns out this knife was a post war item made by aerial cutlery to use up parts left over from WW2. They were sold in the late 40's and 50's for hunting, camping and "commando" use. i would like to thank Frank Trzaska for taking the time to fill me in on the history of this knife. Mystery solved!
