Scammers Name Thread on Rim Fire Central

From 5-28-20 to the most recent post today 10-25-21 on Rim Fire Central is a thread that includes a number of Scammer names.
Some that have been reported here like William Owen (william6owen@gmail.com).
Early on they were contacting WTB listers after only being members for a day or so. Same MO as they started out here by contacting you, telling you to contact someone else who has what your after. Beware.... Like here, these guys are now waiting until they get 20+ posts in, adding no real substance other than 'Looks Nice', 'Sweet', etc.

This Link is 70+ replies, but worth reading and keeping an eye on. Member Sophia has put in a great effort.

What about people whose posts are almost entirely items for sale? Not necessarily a scam or any sort of wrong doing but it does seem that if you're joining a forum mainly to get free adds you're joining the forum for the wrong reasons. I noticed one the other day here who had a terrific number of posts of items for sale but hardly any posts anywhere else on the forum.

We have to be a bit careful of pointing a finger at those too though... There was a member here that had no posts I'm aware of but sold a long line of bayonets and assorted cocarocka, including ammo. Many were sending up warning flares and I bought an M6 bayonet from him at a very good price. I got it here and was careful to give a good trader rating to try and quell the chatter, which still went on to a point... Yes be careful but if you do enough business long enough...things happen.
    Regards, Jim

I don't think that anyone minds provided that one doesn't have "an ulterior motive" for doing so.
