    GEW 98 handguard source?

Is there a good source for GEWicon 98 handguards? I've checked SARCO, Boyds, and Ebay with no luck. I would take repro if that's all I can find.

Go on Ebay and look for Kar98kicon (WW2) handguard Find a walnut HG and you are in business. Very little difference between a WW1 and a WW2 HG.

I thought the Kar98kicon handguards were much shorter. That's not true?

We are talking about a GEW98 WW1 rifle, aren't we? Perhaps a photo or two of the rifle will work. The South American Gew98's are very different from the Germanicon Army issue rifle. A photo should clear up this matter.

The GEW98 handguard runs from the middle band to the front of the front sight. Any of the South American Mausers the handguard runs around the sight to the front of the receiver. I would suppose if one had the mounting clip you could cut down a South American handguard to make an acceptable substitute until a proper one is found.

Yes, a WWI Germanicon Army Gew 98. I don't own the rifle, at least not yet. But, I've located one that needs a handguard.
