Another 03A3 newbie question
On the 1903 magazine/trigger guard assy. there is a part called the "front guard screw stud".
Question: Does the 03A3 magazine/trigger guard assy. have that same part?
Thanks,
Jim

I haven't heard it described that way but I imagine what you mean is the round boss or stud above the front guard screw hole. It serves as a spacer, keeping the TG at the proper distance from the receiver.
Both the 1903 & A3/A4 TGs have it.

Kirk,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure of the correct name--I copied the name from one of the manuals on this site.
The TG on an A3 I have does not have the spacer (or whatever it is called). Guess I need to find one.
Thanks,
Jim

A3 guards are pressed together, its common for that bushing to come loose,
if you look at a good one, youll see that its rolled over on the outside,
what i have seen, is that some were forced apart for some reason, breaking that bushing off.

Thanks to you guys for the comments.
After seeing pix of good TGs, I can now say that mine is OK-----I just didn't know what I was looking at/for.
