I think it is highly unlikely that it is Jamestown Lounge. J was the marking of Jewel Bros, in Winsted, Ct, which had a WWII contract for recoil plates.
I have no carbine contracts for spare parts for Jamestown Lounge, so I suspect its production was strictly on a sub contract basis.

Bill, you might be right, I have it written down for Jamestown but I was thinking Jewell Bros.
