I'm Rapidrob. I run a shooting club in Albuquerque, NM dedacated to the safe shooting of military surplus rifles, pistols and shotguns. The officers and I have been collecting these firearms since the early 60's. We hold our shoots at the Albuquerque Shooting Range Park, the largest city run shooting range in the USAicon. ( 14,600 acres) We use the brand new long range and hold our matches from 100-500 meters. This month we will be holding our first moving target match at 100 meters. Any "as issued" surplus rifle may be used. Any ammo other than fire starting type may be used. There are several classes for our shooters:
    Pre-1886
    WWI
    WWII/Korea
    Viet Nam/current
    Semi-auto
    optical sights
Our shoots are fun. We are here to shoot, not have rules so strict that no one returns. Members are all given a chance to see what they can do with these old war horses. All shooters are required to help with range set-up/ tear-down. Policing brass and act as a safety observer when needed.
Our yearly membership dues are used soley for the clubs insurance. $ 40.00 a year,$65.00 for the whole family. If this club sounds like what you want to a member of, please feel free to join us.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail.
