About 10,000 others are also looking for WWI Scabbards. They are leather and rotted away years ago.
An original scabbard is worth a lot more than the bayonet. That is why there are repros out there from NJ.
If originals were around, the repros would not have been made.
Good luck in your search.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the update. I actually found one about 4 years ago. The leather scabbards seem to have held up better than the slings from WWI, but then they weren't stressed like the slings. I've noticed that the holsters of WWI can often be found in good condition as well.

Survival is down to being maintained, not many have a use for a sling and they get slung! a holster is often used and gets some care and attention. Bayonet scabbards were often removed from the blades and thrown away as they took up room, while the blade hung on the wall. I know of a collector who had an amazing collection of very rare blades, all naked as he threw the scabbards away, he was amazed to find in many cases he had thrown the money away on the item as scabbards are so much rarer than naked blades.
