C and D Tip Slings Prices

Seeing some smoothly described D Tip Slings fetching $60 to over $80 on Ebay... But they are real.

Also seeing Repro C Tips selling for $75 to even +$100 on the same auction site.
Looks like a creative description using WWII, USMC, Airborne.... etc, makes one blind ?

    Seems a shame...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. To add to my opening post,
Has anyone noticed you can no longer bring up the 'Original Listing' of a completed auction. You can get the ended auction but can't see the pictures. When you try clicking on the SEE ORIGINAL LISTING, the site will pop up something different you may like.
The Humpers gotta love this new feature, as just their Description, selling price and seller info is left after completion.
No longer will we be able to look over their pictures after the ending.

To search, I did an Advanced search of sold listings with the search words being m1 carbine sling. When the results pop up I click on the sold for over $30 button to weed out smaller things like oilers.. etc.

    My Results:

You can still look at ended auctions.
There’s a link you can click to “undo” the reroute. It’s quite annoying but that’s how it goes.
Searching completed auctions is a major resource for the reselling I do.

I totally agree about the frustration with eBay. I still haven't figured out what's going on. Will try soon to "undo" the re-route - right now back to see if the JGR cars can catch the Fords. 9000+ RPM! - Bob

On ended auction, when I click on 'See Original Listing' and it sends me to a different, current listing, I click on the Highlighted LISTING in the Blue banner and it brings me back to the Original Listing, I then have to click on 'See Original Listing (again) thus making it possible to still see that completed auctions pictures.
    I think I've got it.
But probably haven't explained it very well.
    Thx RC.

    Cinders,
When I do it that way it just brings up a NEW listing that may be similar to the original listing.
Works correct if I do as I posted above in reply #6 by clicking on 'see original listing' the 2nd time.... Or if I click on the picture on that 2nd time around.

At a show a couple of months ago I bought a group of items someone got from an estate liquidation and included both C and D tipped slings. The price was $5 per sling for the C tips. The C-tips are unused and were assumed to be reproduction. I'm not so sure now that I've handled them, and of course want to believe they're real. One has "the smell", the other less so, but somewhat does. Both appear identical.
