    455 Webley speed loader

Just finished reading Mr Skennertons book about the 38 and 455 Webley. There is a diagram of a speed loader for the Webley. Anyone have one they can photograph for me would like to see the real thing, hell you could even sell it to me and I would not mind.

    cheers

If you find a Prideaux speed loader, You should IMMEDIATLY buy a lottery ticket while your luck holds.
It's two pieces of stamped metal with a spring between them. I have seen ONE in my years of collecting and it was NOT fror sale.
There are other versions, such as one made of machined brass to a different design.

If you really want a pic, send me a snail mail address and I will xerox several pages from the Webley book and mail them to you.

I don't know how to do that on the internet.

Did you ever find photos of the Prideaux? I don't see any other threads on here with these pics, so here you go. (they were posted on CGN a while ago).

    Nice photos. Thank you!
I thought speed loaders were a more recent invention.
More interesting stuff for a new member of this great forum.
