    K31 rear peep sight

I was at a match in NC last weekend. Shooting my first vintage rifle match. First I had a ball. didn't win the prize only because they didn't count having fun toward final score.
I shot my M1icon Garand then shot a 1911 Schmidt-Rubin. There was another fellow on the line shooting a K31icon. Except his had a rear adjustable peep sight installed. Are these still available and adaptable to the 1911 version? He said his rifle came with that sight installed do did not know where it came from.
I really like shooting the straight pull and would consider more competition use if I could find a rear sight that would allow for precision adjust-ability.
I asked about legality for "vintage rifle" rules and he just shrugged. Said as long as it came on the rifle or was available to the troops all was good. To be honest I do not know what rules govern for CMPicon vintage rifle matches.

Diopters were never an issue item to troops.

But were accepted for Swissicon regulation Military shoots since the at least the 1970's
Seems the US rules are more hide-bound. Mind you, you can also shoot in the open/match categories.

    For Swiss Military Shoots:
The K type Diopter was accepted for competition Jan 11, 1963
The S type Diopter was accepted for competition Dec 10, 1973

Muchas gracias for the link. All I need now is to win the lottery, so that I can afford a Swiss diopter. No joke - a Swiss diopter costs more than a G11.

Thanks for the link , I know you mean well, but did you spot the $250 minimum order for export? Plus carriage, and customs duties at this end, I would be down twice the price of the rifle just to get a mount!
