Help, is this lithgow a parts gun?

Help, is this a parts gun? A local pawn shop has it for 489. After research im kinda leery. The only thing the pics dont show is a mint bore and scroll marks on the stock that are all over it. There is also a S/A stamp on the butt. Attachment 58186Attachment 58187Attachment 58188Attachment 58189Attachment 58190Attachment 58191Attachment 58192Attachment 58193

The scroll design on the wood is probably from a palm sander. The DP on the other hand means Drill Purpose...the butt plate is a later type. Aussie? Looks like the ones mounted on the FNs. Are there not traces of yellow paint on the foresight ears and the wood behind the rear sight?

There is no DP stamp there is a D ^ D stamp on the receiver which is the Dad and Dave Government stamp mark. the P on the knox is a replacement barrel P.
The part stylized R is a rust stamp. The number on the bayonet boss is from an earlier rifle. The number you showed on the bolt is the PA number which will also if it matches be on the action under neath the closed bolt handle. You don't show the rifle serial number on the rear of the bolt handle. The butt plate is not original and there may not be any stamps on the butt.

Sorry, that is the number on the receiver under the closed handle. There aeems to be no serial on the back of the bolt handle. Just the one pictured.

In the first picture one can see remnants of yellow paint down in the grain. The wood has been refinished and by Bubba at that hence the palm sander.
$489.00..? Nah, about $150.00 overpriced and that's on an honest example at least around here. I'd walk....

Thanks everyone for your prompt replies. I didn't even see that paint in the wood grain. It doesn't show up without a bright light. I turned it down, the writing on the wall was not promising. Too bad, Don't come across them that often. Shop owner got irritated with me, but I am paying a premium price for frankensteined parts gun.
