    What does this fit?

    I have a 10 in.bayonet,looks like a Garandicon bayonet.marked AFH,it has the bomb,and U S.the other side of the blade it has the numbers 5504139.
    the ring is 7/8 in.where the Garand M 1 bayonet is 5/8in.? is what does it fit.

    The bayonet you are describing is a modified US M1icon Garand bayonet. The muzzle ring has been changed so the bayonet will fit on a BM59 rifle. The seven-digit serial number you mentioned indicates that this is one of the bayonets that was modified either in or for Argentinaicon.

    It fits both the 1903 and the M1icon Garand. Thanks for all your responces.

    with a muzzle ring about 1/4 bigger than the one for the garand it would fit but be very very loose. the BM59 has a much larger flash hider that the 7/8ths fits snuggly

    The bayonet in its original configuration would fit the '03 or the Garandicon, but as Carl stated with the enlarged muzzle ring it would be a very sloppy fit. Definitely modified for the BM59.
