Just curious... price of LE 1 at Joe Salter

I'm just wondering what the Canadianicon LE 1 on Mr. Salter's site was listed at? It sold quickly. Anyone know?

It was 2295 or 2495. I looked at it, but was a little put off by the description of the bore being rough and showing evidence of improper cleaning. As well, I think some of the price was based on the assumption it was a LE which had gone to South Africa and stayed there, but I wonder if the CC would more likely stand for the Chasseurs Canadiens. Overall, a nice rifle, but after importation and taxes, it would have been about 3000, which is rather high for something like that............

Agreed. The last LE I saw on offer in this country (may still be for sale), M&D-marked, was offered for about half that price.
