    Identification of unknown magazine

Anyone have any idea what this goes to. Found it in an antique shop today, didn't buy it but $8.00 seems reasonable if it's some obscure rifle magazine I might pick up someday. Has a Warsaw Pact look to it but could be anything Heavier steel than just something cheaply made. Looks military but no markings whatsoever on it.

It looks like any other AK 10 round magazine I have seen.

Thank you. I was trying image searches with no matches. Figured it was AK related, never saw one that small. Is this a 5 round or 10 round? Found a 5 round Romanian online that looks pretty close.

Appear to be 10. Not a bargain in the condition they are in.

These magazines don't look exactly the same. Will they both still fit the same gun? - Bob

All combloc AK magazines are Interchangeable and function equally. For some reason US made AK mags are junk.

Perhaps a Galil grenade blank mag? Which fits better, 7.62x39 or 5.56x45?
I remember seeing them, but never used one.

I may pick it up next time I'm up there. I do have a WASR-10 I could use it in. Not a high priority trip however. Might now be closed anyway. I think it will clean up fine, wasn't pitted or anything.

Yes. A WASR-10 is an AK. Some are single stack and some are double stack. I have a couple of the plastic MAGPUL magazines for mine, they fit very nice. Metal mags tend to rattle around a bit.

I actually have another unknown magazine to identify and I actually own this one which makes it more intriguing. I've been checking ammo, firearms and magazines since I have nothing better to do and this magazine was found, not buried but with my normal stuff. I figured it was a second magazine to either my M-57 or my Star B but it won't fit either. It's just a bit "longer" cartridge wise. I'll get some photos up at some point, probably in a new thread but if you can think of a cartridge longer than a 9mm Largo or 9mm Tokarev but about 9mm in size, that's what it appears to be. I even dug out my Astra 400 thinking it was for it but it isn't, again won't fit.

No memory of purchasing it and then being angry it didn't fit what I bought it for either. Not buying I might forget, being angry about it not as likely.
