I too am curious as to the whereabouts of one of these. I ordered one from Garry Fellers on Apr 4 and have not heard any more. He is a little slow but he can usually find what you want.

Good luck finding one! I inhereted a 066 Buckhorn when my dad passed away. He purchased it in 1939 and one of my brothers swore he say dad hit a large jackrabbit at 200 yards with it once. It was the first rifle I ever shot and when I was allowed to hunt on my own I used it to shoot squirrels, ground hogs cottentails and damn near anything else I could get close enough to when I was growing up. I have a soft spot in my heart for it. Unfortunately my dad loaned it to one of my brother's kids to use. When it came back the sight hood and receiver peep sight was missing. I searched agressively for 21 years before I finally found one and had to buy a complete rifle just to get it -that's ok as spare parts are not a bad idea and the 66 ejector springs have a tendency to go soft. The problem with finding the proper receiver sight is that alot of dealers like Fellers will tell you what the sight should have been but they really don't know. The peep sight was unique in that it was actually manufactured by Stevens/Savage not Marbles or any of the other sight companies. It has a little lever so you can change to one of the three different size apertures. Another thing most people don't know is that it came with four front sight blades and the middle sight came one of three ways, no sight with a blank in the dovetail, a folding hunter type and a standard with elevator slide. If you need any photos let me know. Good luck in your search.
