Announcement How to use ~Angel~'s "Match Making" Service

~Angel~ (Mrs. Badger) made a suggestion that I thought had a lot of merit. She has No.4(T) sniper rifles that are missing their matched scopes, as well as some rifles with mismatched bolts. I have rifles with mismatched bayonets and serial numbered bayonets looking for matching rifles. I even have an Enfield No.4 bolt I found at our local range, that must have a rifle associated with it someplace. So, her suggestion was to create an organized and well structured forum, where members could describe what they have or what they need, in the hopes that someone out there can match it up! In essence, a dating service for old milsurp collectibles.

~Angel~'s "Match Making" Service is designed to be an area for any MILSURPS.COM registered member, to list both serial numbered items they have, or serial numbered items they are looking for. It is a READ ONLY forum environment for creating NEW threads, however, members may REPLY to already established threads. It is important that you find the correct thread for whatever it is you're trying to match up. For example, if the thread is titled Bolts looking for Rifles, then you should only be posting information about a serial numbered bolt you already have, that should go with a matching rifle you don't have. If the thread is titled Rifles looking for Bolts, then you should only be posting information about a serial numbered rifle you have, that should go with a matched bolt you don't have. Got the idea?

The moderators will police the forum as much as possible, to ensure that the right queries end up in the most appropriate "matching" thread. If you have a specific category not covered that you think should be added to the forum, then please send a PM to Badger with a request to add a new "matching" style of thread.

NOTE: If you should happen to locate a piece you need, or see one in a thread that matches something you have, please do not contact MILSURPS.COM. Instead, send a PM (Private Message) directly to the member who has listed the item. If you should happen to actually get a match using this service, it would be great if you posted a message in the appropriate thread telling everyone else what success you had.

Finally, there are those sad occasions when some of our collection may get lost or stolen. To help members report what has been stolen and any relevant information about hose pieces, we have a separate thread titled Report STOLEN or LOST military surplus firearms and accessories !!

We hope you enjoy this addition to the Military Surplus Collectors Forums.

    Regards,
    Badger
