    1911a1 Rear sight removal

    1943 Colt..............Does the rear site come out left to right or right to left? I need to replace one. Thanks

    Hitch,long time no hear,hope all is well with you. As you look from the rear to the front,sight s/b removed from left to right. Obviously, put the new on in from right to left. If the new rear is too tight remove metal from the BOTTOM of the sight.[don't mess with the dovetail cut] Best regards, Nick
