    Kinda OT

I've had a look at my friends 577 Snider sporting rifle and have never seen anything like it. It is marked Snider Patent, has a sporting stock and an octagon barrel. The sights are express, marked at 50/100/150 and 200 yds. The maker is H Rodgers and Sons London. How many books do I need to buy to see if there is any history on this rifle maker?

Thanks bilbo, I just discovered the site. It looks like Snider sporters have possibilites as collector arms.
