P17 ejection

My P17 Eddistone is not ejecting properly. Extraction is fine, but the spent brass just lays on top until I dump it over.
The rifle will eject if outward pressure is used while working the bolt.
This causes the bolt to shift toward the ejector and the round will eject.
I have read that this is a common problem with the P17.
Will a new ejector and spring fix this ? If so how do I remove the worn part ?

the rat's tail of the ejector is tempered to be its own spring. The broken off portion will probably be lying inside the bolt stop assembly, which has a screw on top to remove it.

If you are adept, the coil spring that is inside the hinge of a kitchen cupboard can be used. Or so I am told. Most hardware stores have them I belive.

Some folks use the spring out of a ball pen. I like something a bit stiffer, but it needs to be about that size.

That's a great diagram on how to fix this, Seems simple enough.

Now that's funny, cause a section of the spring out of a ball point pen is exactly what I used on one of mine
The important bit is to pop the ejector into the path of the case and that really doesn't take much.
However since the ejector is hardened, you are gonna need a moto tool with an abrasive wheel to cut those slots.
