    1885 Winder Musket

I co worker just sent me an email of one of these for sale. I havent looked at it yet but was interested. He says it is military marked and is in .22 short. I will post pics when I can get them. Any idea of price ranges for these in good condition?

    Thanks
    Chris

the one from cabellas is a tad overpriced for the condition it is in but it appears to be one of the 11000+ that the government contracted for ,

i cant say for sure about the tang sight on the posted rifle , but , the cabellas rifle has the correct rear sight ,

    some photos of mine -

The one posted from Cabellas does have the correct sight for a Military rifle. I have seen these rifles prices all over the price range. I would concider cabellas at 1500.00 way over priced. You can ask anything you want but it may never sell. But cabbella has a very good customer base so they may get it.
CSM14thBN I don't think the Lyman tang sight is orginal for a US Military rifle. If can get it for the right price I have a extra Lyman correct sight. You should be able to get enough money out of that Lyman tang sight shown on your posted rifle to pay for it.
