I have a question> What's the best way to remove a rear Elevator Sight from a Swedishicon Mauser, Model 96?

If you mean the entire sleeve a propane torch will heat the silver solder enough to remove it.
If you mean just ladder part you will need a pin punch of a slightly smaller size than the pin and of a length longer than the width of the sight. Drive the pin from the Left to the Right and remove it completely with the sight raised then apply pressure to the spring to remove the punch then lift off the sight.

Welcome to the site. For future inquiries these type of tutorials are usually done in the particular rifle associated or gunsmithing for old milsurps forums by starting a new thread there.

    Hello,

I've visited this forum a handful of times in the past in researching details of certain rifles and thank the members for some of their detailed history posts (particularly the Knowledge Libraryicon).
I have always been fascinated with military history, so it's only suiting that I eventually started collecting pieces of history for me to admire myself. I look forward to sharing and offering whatever useful knowledge I have (or can be obtained from what I own) and look forward to seeing the same from other members.

    Hello everybody!

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have discovered Milsurps some time ago and thought it might be a good idea to become a member.
I've been a collector for over 30 years now and I don't think this passion will end soon.
I am interested in Mausers from all around the globe and I have discovered the Enfield world recently.
Thank you for being such a brilliant source for my research!! I do hope that I will be able to give something back!

    many greetings from Southern Germanyicon

    T
