Hello, this looks to be interesting... ! Hopefully, I'll be able to help someone, as will some may help me.
I'm into Edged Weapons; as well as Firearms, and Helmets. I am especially interested in Trench Knives, Fighting Knives, & Bayonets of World War 1, (and Two), but really, the earlier stuff is cooler....! So, I'm looking for all that stuff, go ahead & break it out ! Even if its not for sale..!
Oh yeah, anybody heard of a pocket-sized knife made by Case (I think)
& issued to (at least, some) of our troops, & it was a "Butterfly" knife ?!
I have seen one such knife; a single-edged one made by "Case", I believe.

Hi guys, just taking a moment to introduce myself, I got into guns this past year and while my first two were not surplus guns, i quickly got into them. I enjoy the old stuff much more, its always fun to take a out a old wood stock rifle and go shooting 100 yards with the iron sights. I am also starting a collection within the collection of SKS rifles, so far i have 2 Russians1951,1953, and Two yugos. a M59, and a 59/66. I am going to try and collect as many variants as i can within reason. I find these old guns fascinating and joined here as im sure i can learn more from you guys and the other boards i belong to. I always to try go after the quality items, i dont mind paying a few dollars more when i need to but i am also enjoying the hunt when looking for a great cond rifle at a steal of a price. .

Hi folks, just an old coot here who is trying to pick up some info that seems to have fallen thru the cracks of my memory over the years. I have owned all the U.S. Mil. rifles from the trapdoor to the ar 15 with the excepion of the Krag, also owned some Brits. and German. I presently have a couple of p14 actions and am thinking of building a .416 rigby. I'll be lurking mostly.

I'm Not Sure About Using Those P-17 Actions To Build A Big Magnum, Like The .416 Rigby. I've Heard Stories; About The Recievers' Splitting Around The Locking Lugs... In A "ring" Around It. With At Least Some Of The Mfg.'s (singer, Rock-o-la) And Some Years; 1944, 1945, 1946 That Good Steel Really Was'nt Available.

Whats up folks.
I just signed up and figured I'd say hello.
I've been into firearms for most of my life and somehow have always gravitated to military surplus type rifles for some reason.
I used to own several Lee Enfields (long since sold ) and am presently on a Swedish Mauser kick.

I was a soldier once (reduced afterward, but I was a soldier once) and I am a niche collector; I collect the small-arms of America and America's allies for the first 10 years of the Cold War, 1946 - 1956 (roughly Greek and Chinese Civil wars to the Hungarian Rising and Suez. I have M-1s Garand and carbine, No. 4 Lee-Enfield, MAS 36 and Brazilian contract S&W .45 now, others as finances permit. I want well-used but functioning weapons with the post-WW II modifications.
