New to here but not to guns, shooting and collecting. Milsurp is not a primary collecting but I have and still have a few. I am more of "if it intersts me, I want it" kind of guy.

I am a new member here I collect sks carbines and ak rifles I also collect military ammunition and Machine guns (dewats and semi autos these days as the full auto shooters are too expensive) I usually post on gunboards.com hope to spend some time here. I am 64 years old this month and am a Vietnam vet 65 66 and 13 years total in various Army units reserve and NG 11th Special Forces was one of them where I was a light weapons ldr on an A team.

Hey Milsurps

Nudder newb from Canada, eh. Found this site a while back when I purchased my new-to-me .308 Tikka Lite, and have renewed interest as of last week cuz I just purchased my first milsurp, a Simonov SKS 45.

Most likely to be a lurker and a reader for now. I've found from other forums on other subjects the questions usually have to be either fairly esoteric or quite specific for them to not be answered somewhere on here already - ya gotta love a search engine. And to be quite honest, my knowledge of firearms, any firearms, is pretty minimal at this point.

Hello to everyone on the board. I stumbled on this site a few nights ago while searching for info on AK's.

I've been shooting milsurps and military styled weapons since I was a kid (I'm 51 now!). I think the first was an M1 Carbine that belonged to a friend.

Since then I've owned (and unfortunately sold) several military guns. Mostly Garands, Springfields and AR's. I had the good fortune to know a couple of Class III dealers and got to shoot several SMG's whenever I wanted. I still have a couple of Garands, a good 03A3, a FAL, an Enfield and some AR's. Nothing really collector grade (except maybe an IH Garand), just good solid shooters.

Just getting into AK type weapons mainly due to fairly cheap ammo in some calibers. I kind of like my 7.62x54R PSL.
