    Intro to all

    Hello,
I have a long while ago posted and chatted in person with a number of members of the 1903 Springfield Forum. I have been away just finished a recall from Army retirement. Served two more years.
I collect and shoot M1icon Garand, M1 carbine, 1903 springfield, and other assorted miltary and old sporting rifles and handguns.

Hi! New to some of the MilSurp stuff, so bear with me. I'm an FFL holder, do gun shows, belong to the local conservation club, NRA, etc. Reload, recyle spent bullets into sinkers, shotgun slugs, ingots. Shoot some of the common milsurp calibers; 7.62x54R, 7.62x39, .45acp
.223, etc. Just bought an Enfield #4 MK 1 that I'll probably ask some dumb questions about.
Have a couple Norinco SKS's, AK, revolvers and pistols. Have a S&W 457 that not much info seems to be around for.

Hi all, I spent 22 years in the Marine Corps, 18 of them as a scout sniper. I have been working in the private market for the last 10 years doing much the same thing for a lot more money. Just got back from two years in the sand box.

    Hello all.

I am 67 and have developed this obsession.

I see old rifles and I want them !

I now own two Lee Enfields, one 8mm Mauser, one Norinco SKS, two Mosin-Nagants and just
lately obtained a Carcano Carbine 6.5x52mm.

Oh yes - and a 7.62x25mm Tokarev pistol.

    Hello fellow forum members.

I have just recently started collecting milsurps, it is a great thing to be able to get information on milsurps from forums like this. I look forward to spending time here.

    Thanks

Hi, All I am a newby to Milsurp Forums but have had my 6.5 91/28 Carcano since 1965. I have beat it badly just storing it in some rough storage buildings. I am now in the process of restoring it. Hopefully I won't do any more damage to it. I quit firing it shortly after I bought it, I had two mil surp cases split at the rim and cooked my forehead. At the time my local gun shops wouldn't carry Carcano ammo so I just put it away. Many relocations and the move from So Cal to East Texas really banged up the stock and browned the bluing. I am repairning the stock now and will see about restoring the bluing when I finsh the stock.

    salutations to the membership

This site is now pretty slick and I'm very much hoping that I can BS and trade with fellow connoisseurs of the old and greasy instruments of war. We Canucks might labour under different levels of bureaucracy but nothing could make me happier than banging away with a 90 year old smoke pole that has probably seen a ton more sh*t than I'll ever see, even in LE....
There are still bargains out there that just require a little TLC and parts knowledge to make them shine on the range. 'Sporterize' is just an idiots way of saying 'bugger-up'.
My two cents, chamber on amigos....
