Hello all. I am new to this. Haven't posted on forums before, but have been 'lurking' and reading / learning. I have 3 Mausers: 7.65mm 1891 Argentino (long rifle), 7mm 1895 Chileano (short carbine with saddle ring) and a 8mm 1940 K Kale Turk (long rifle). I shoot them all, along with my 12 gauge Savage 720 & Ruger 10/22. I reload for all the Mausers & really enjoy the craftsmanship the 2 Loewe's (the 1891 & 1895 both manufactured in 1895) exhibit.

    Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum but not new to collecting military surplus. I purchased my first m1 helmet in 1961. It was in a pile of helmets on the floor of the local surplus store. I had saved my allowance of 50 cents a week for a month and proudly walked in to make my purchase. The owner and a friend were behind the counter and told me to help myself. They really got a kick of me trying on those helmets. That was the start of years of interest in ww11. The variety of topics on this forum is what caught my interest rather than the one or two dedicated topics on other forums.
I hope that i can contribute something along the way while learning from you!
    Thanks,

    Glenn

    New member - hi everyone

Glad to find your forum here, after being directed via a thread on UN/US export bans. You have a great site here! I read and get involved in Australianicon gun politics, and collect a few bits of old iron. Also a member at Britishicon Miltaria, Australian Hunting Net and Black Powder Forums and many others under the same handle.

    New member with concerns

Hi, concerned about all the negative remarks that I have read about George because I recently ordered a Rock-Ola recoil plate from him. Is he selling repo. carbine recoil plates? Also I ordered and received a complete type five Winchester trigger housing. According to Riesh's 6th edition it appears to have all the correct parts for a Winchester carbine in the 5.7 mil. range. I did notice a small number 59 mark in front of the trigger guard and push saftey. Called him and he said Winchester did mark their trigger housings in that manner. Owned for some time several carbines, m1's and 1911a1's. First time ordering parts and hope I haven't made a mistake. Great forum, perhaps I should have read more of the posts before deciding on a parts source.
