    New to milsurps.com

    Hello All,

First time here and HOPEFULLY not the last. I've been collecting military rifles for several years and always wanting more knowledge on the subject. I figure this is a good source for that knowledge.
I have several in my collection but have been focussing mainly on the Swedishicon Mauser the last few years and am enjoying them immensely. Both the collecting and shooting.
Hope that this endeavor on this site is as good for both myself and other members in our information and knowledge exchange.
    Thank you for having me.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Another newbie here. I have been collecting/shooting for about 10 years. My focus has been WWII period and only US military weapons until now. I am looking to venture out and expand the collection to military weapons from the other countries during this same period. I'm hoping to find some good resources/knowledge from others especially on Germanicon, Japaneseicon and Russianicon items at this time. Thanks.

    fflincher twitches!

On another site Ruprecht remarked you nice people had earlier discussed one of my issues.

Since I'm an old retired guy and between naps, I followed up on his suggestion and have asked to join you here to pick your brains and, maybe, even offer what little knowledge and experience I have.

Thank you for that fine welcome. Now I'll nose around a bit, gratefully.
