A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Good day to all members,

I have been shooting, collecting and studying Mauser rifles for the last 40 years or so. At the present time I have about 20 or so including a couple of Mauser 410b's (not milsurp). I hope to learn a lot more and maybe share some knowledge with you. Examples include Germanicon, Spanish, Belgiumicon, Columbian, Portugal, Swedenicon, Czechicon and Turkishicon.

    best regards Mauser410b.

    Smile schmidt rubin part seeker

Hey to all. This is my first post to any forum, I'm more of an accumulator of firearms than an actual collector, as I have no theme to my grouping. I remember once having the bolt to my 96/11 but thru many moves and wives I have lost it some how. I would like to complete this beautiful, so if any one can help please do so.

    1935 Brazilian

I was following this thread for a few years ago then got caught up in some health problems.
I have a 1935 Brazilianicon Model rifle that appears to be in mint condition.
I need to re-establish contact for information regarding resale as I'm getting on (80 last Dec.) and have decided that I need to pass on some of my collection.
    Please advise.

Researching South American Mousers, Milsurps kept offering good information. I look forward to continue learning from those who contributed to it.

One does not just own old Mousers. They were made before most of us were born and if cared for, will outlive us… we are simply coexisting.

I hope to find a few functional unmodified 1891 to WW2 models, and in a few decades entrust them to their next like-minded and protective guardians, in the same shape I received them.

    Ed.

    Hi All

My name is Dan. I have been interested in military firearms since I was a kid. My Uncle gave me a 6.5 Arisakaicon, he brought back from WW II, when I was 14. I banged out ammo for it with a mallet and a Lee Loader using the one box of Norma brass that came with the rifle. My first full time job was a stock clerk at a Army - Navy Surplus store at age 16. One of my duties was opening crates of rifles and handguns and cleaning them up for display on the sales floor. No one else liked doing that job but I loved it. This was before 1968 so no import marks or keeping track of serial numbers. Just clean them up and get them out front for the customers. Oh! I almost forgot - and put a $29.95 price tag on them. As I recall, I was making 75 cents an hour so most of my paycheck was spent on guns and ammo. Over the years, I traded all of them off for "newer and better" modern guns. At least that's what I thought at the time.
