New Member coming out of the shadows

    Hi All,

I have been a lurking stalker type for the last year or so, treating the forum as a source of data to corroborate what I thought I knew.

I am a collector/shooter of 1st and 2nd WW rifles but I have just stepped out of my regular comfort zone to buy a straight pull M1Aicon and suddenly I wish I was in the States where you can sometimes enjoy the benefits of a gas tube!

UKicon based, my primary likes are anything Enfield related. I am fortunate to have acquired and shoot a 1906 SMLE, No1 Mk V, No1 Mk VI, a couple of T's, L42A1 ............ and you probably see that I have got the bug. I reload to relax and try really hard not to be too much of a train spotter on the stuff that I know very little about.

Looking forward to getting to know you all better after this faltering first step!

    Hello Everyone!

Hello, and thank you for inviting me into your home.
I collect... well... 'collect' is not quite accurate... I acquire that which interests me.
My latest acquisition is an 1867 Werndl, and the one before that was a Remington
513 Sporting rifle, .22 l.r. caliber. Unfortunately, there is no way to know what might
    strike my fancy.
I am currently searching for a Jaeger trigger guarg for the Werndl, and my shooting
hand is buggered beyone normal usage, and straight stocks just do not work...

I discovered your site/forum while researching the Ross Rifle, Mk III & Mk IV, searching-
in vain it seems- for a GOOD quality schematic or parts drawings for a friend who has a
Ross that has "Pioneer" proofs, and needs parts and repair.

Lots of interresting information here, I just hope I get time to get here, if you know what
I mean... I am not on the computer every day, and sometimes not even every week.
Thank you, and adieu, my new friends!

    Hello, all.

New to the forum and really do not collect even though I do have three bladed weapons from WWI and WWII.

Just thought I would join up and learn more.

    New guy checking in

    Hi everybody,

I spent some time in the Air Force working on missiles for SAC. Got out and worked on submarines for 23 years and retired. Became an electrician and did construction and industrial and commercial maintenance. Currently getting ready to retire from the school district.

My hobbies are guns, sailing, flying RC, sleeping, napping and resting.

Just bought an M1icon and I'm looking for sources of information and found this site. I'll have some stupid questions to ask any minute now.

    Thanks,
    Dave

    G'day.

G'day all. My first post to this forum. I am a collector of various things including vintage cameras, motorcycles and unusual things. My father was a life long collector of military firearms and my main source of research right up until recently when he passed away. We used to go shooting, way back when, with a selection of Mausers [8mm Germanicon was the most acurate], and various other weapons from black powder to modern weapons. He had a vast collection up until the ridiculous politicians of this great country dreamed up their stupid and draconian gun laws. I am 55 and I can remember him buying many firearms but I cannot recall him ever selling any!
I have several items in my possesion that I cannot identify [not firearms], so I will make use of what seems to be a very deep knowledge pool, and also offer any help that I can.
    Cheers.

Hi Everybody. I've joined the milsurps forum as I've got an interest in Lee Enfields (I have two - a BSA No1 MkIII* dated 1917 and a No4 T reproduction, built on a Longbranch 1945 which was sold to the Italianicon Navy and put into store)

    Hello to all

I'm a retired vet with over 35 years in the U.S. Army and I'm interested in purchasing an VZ58 Receiver to complete a build. I'm having issues with the new law that limits certain items and now I'm stuck with everything but the receiver to complete my build. Can anyone guide me in the direction that I need to go? I believe in self defense and defending our country. I do posses a PR gun permit/license but I'm not an FFL. The postal service is the same USPS, FED EX, etc. and our currency is in US Dollars so as an American Citizen I can't have my wright to bear arms.
