    Newbee

My name is Gary Malmquist and I am a Swede Rifle collector as well as many others including assault rifles and class 3 as well. I have been a C&R collector and FFL as well as class 3 dealer since 1985. I found this place through Google while looking for a front sling swivel for my Swede 94 rifle. This looks like a well put together forum and I look forward to using this as well as contributing as well. Thanks, Gary M.

Newby with a question about Fazakerley production.

Good afternoon everyone. I am new here and UKicon south coast based.

Among other guns, I shoot a Mosin Nagant M44 and have just acquired a Fazakerley Enfield No4 mk1/2 rebuilt for the previous owner by Phil Rose, a well known Hampshire based gunsmith.

Now, of course I shall be enjoying learning about and playing with my new toy...

A question to the experts on here. The serial no of my No4 is S27754A. It was FTR'd in 1953 but there is no evidence of it's original manufacturing date. Can any one tell me?

    Best regards to all.

    Introduction

    Hello, you all!

I am a 19 year old helmet collector from Norwayicon, and seeing several interesting posts on this forum - I decided to sign up. I am not really familiar with such websites, so it would be great if someone could tell me the basics - or link me a page where instructions are!

    Best regards from snowy Norway

    Hello from new member

Hello everyone! I'm pretty new to the whole military surplus collecting hobby. My son started me off on this path when he picked up a Yugoicon Mauser last year. Listening to him talk about early military arms history got me hooked. Earlier this year I picked up a M1898 Kragicon (because Krag's are just odd enough to be really cool), followed by a M1888 trapdoor. Both guns are all original (non-sporterized). With those two acquisitions, I've decided to focus my collecting on those US military arms leading up to early WWI (limited funding helps to narrow one's focus). So a 1903 and a P17 are next on my list.
One thing the Krag has also got me interested in is the AEF, particularly the railway divisions of the Corps that served in Franceicon. Since I am a railroad guy, the story of railway engineers in France with Krags really whets my appetite. I'd be interested in reading more on this if anyone has any links or book titles, etc. that I can pursue. I'd also like to acquire some photos to display with my Krag.
While I have been able to purchase factory ammo for my Krag and trapdoor (cowboy action loads), I am moving towards reloading my own ammo for both in the near future.
I look forward to learning alot from this board! Thanks!

Hello, I'm a retired firefighter and operate a farm in Northumberland county. I've been shooting and reloading since I was 15 and am interested in all of the shooting sports, but for the last few years have been more interested in black powder and antique firearms. Recently purchased a mark IV MH and am getting ready to fire it for the first time. I have been searching the net for information and hope to draw from the experiences of the members here.
